FEEDING
At 3 to 4 weeks of age, puppies begin to nibble at solid food. At this time, it is recommended that puppies be fed all the moistened Valley’s Own Activa Puppy Food they will consume at will until fully weaned (6 to 8 weeks). After weaning, Activa may be fed moistened or dry. If moistened, stir 1 cup of warm water with 2 or 3 cups of food. If fed dry, keep the puppy’s bowl filled at all times. This method is ideal, as the puppy will regulate his food consumption to meet his nutritional needs. Follow the recommended daily feeding amounts.

SPECIAL FEEDING
Pregnant and Lactating Dogs: During pregnancy, feed the female twice each day, adjusting the amount to provide weight gain without becoming overweight. After whelping, the nursing female will need 2-3 times her normal food intake to maintain proper body condition.
